Da Vinci was the first person to introduce parachute in c. 1483 in a notebook margin. It was in sketched form. Thereafter the first practical parachute was invented by Sebastien Lenormand in 1783. And it was not so successful. In 1785, the first successful parachute was invented by a French aeronaut. Thereafter, there were a few people who modified these ideas.

During the next century, parachute use was confined to carnivals and daredevil acts. Acrobats would perform stunts on a trapeze bar suspended from a descending parachute. The next major contribution to parachute systems was the development of a harness by Captain Thomas Baldwin in 1887. The concept of folding or packing the parachute in a knapsak-like container was developed by Paul Letteman and Kathchen Paulus in 1890. The development of sport parachutes beyond solid cloth parachutes began in the early 1960's. Solid cloth parachutes were modified with drive slots that provide greater stability and horizontal speed.

Reviews on My Space web site

Reviews on My Space web site

Many people are crazy about social networking websites nowadays but I'm certainly not one of them. Some of my friends have asked me to join their social networking websites but I did not bother since my favourite Internet site is "Road to Grammar" which is both productive and knowledgeable. However few months later when I came back home early felt bored, I suddenly remembered that my friends always talked about social networking web sites and I have visited a few such sites. The most fascinating site in my view was MySpace website which rendered me speechless with its amazing and wonderful content. You can find almost anything you want on it where it has been cleverly organised in categories such as blogs, forums, events, music, comedy, classifieds etc. A person needs to choose one of these to access a host of information tagged to it. MySpace enables individuals to interact with one another to boost their networking skills and also access to a series of specialised services such as MySpace TV. I'm a person who loves to read and listen to all kind of occult science, movie reviews, classic songs and paranormal issues which also attracts similar like minded individuals from all over the globe to share and learn together. The structure of My Space site is beautifully built and it is rather easy to find information even for a beginner. It does cater to all types of market segment with varied interest. For an example, a teenager would focus more on music and movie reviews as compared to a young adult who may be more interested in the classified section. It's a lot of information and a trustworthy site. I think this is an interesting site for you to join.
